This family of 6 children and 2 adults died. The children could still be alive if police or the foster system did there job. People saw a bruise and believed that they had just fell. They saw the bruises on the backside and I'm ok with disciplining your child .... whats un acceptable is leaving marks. I do not care who you are or where you come from you DO NOT hit your kids out of anger. Its wrong and unjustifiable. The Hart family consisted of 6 children and 2 grown adults. There was reports to officials in at least 5 states they lived in of abuse. What do you think the system did ....nothing. There are so many things wrong with the system granted there are good parts but when it comes to child safety its not all that good. I personally have not met a child or person in the system that didn't have some kind of abuse story.
Now this family drove from Minnesota all the way to California and drove off a cliff. They ruled the adults as suicide and the kids homicide. It all could have been avoided if someone had just taken action. By law a social worker has to check up on the kids and walk through the house to make sure its safe. No one did that.
