My Logos

Nix- Girl ( 16yo)- freshmen -born in New Mexico never left-never left the state-native  

Nix's traditional stand point is actually a religion she not allowed to speak about it but the name is Zuni Pueblo Traditions. They do group dancing and also bless the village. Women are not aloud to know when or where they practice this traditional dancing unless initiated. The tradition of blessing the village is feeding the ancestors. They throw offerings into a bonfire for the  blessings. She likes her traditions. She doesn't like when out comers try to disturb the peace of their traditions, its disturbing to know the causes of the traditions, the county government helped Native Americans keep their traditions safe as it could be. They all gather together in The summer, winter ,and spring. She does not recommend for people its more for the traditional natives to keep it going. 

WAIL OF THE IRISH BANSHEE

 Story from Kaitlyn on August 27, 2018   -    Interviewed on September 15

 She was sitting home alone one night in her home in Inverness Scotland waiting for her husband to come home from a business trip when she hears knocking on the door. "it was almost like they were using a piece of wood to knock " is how she described it.  she went up to the door and looked through the peep hole and didn't see anything. She then heard it again but it was coming from the window and there was a figure of a shadow when she opened it she saw a women standing there. "Her skin as pale as a cloud , her hair as red as fire , and her eyes as green as grass." The women then proceeds to say i need help let me in Im hurt . Kaitlyn had heard stories from her mom about a women like this so she just simply went to her room to call the police. While the women screamed "You damn women, your gonna burn in hell , what kinda girl are you!!?" Kaitlyn then saw the shadow at her door and got more scared while the women proceeded to scream at her. she finally heard another knock at the door and she went up to the door and the knock sounded like the banshees at first so she was hesitant with opening it the she hear " Ma'am are you okay? its the police." She opened the door and invited the police in and told them what happened and there was a camera across the street and the checked it. A couple days later a women police officer can back and told her that there was a women that matched the decryption but she just disappeared into thin hair. Kaitlyn remembered that if a banshee wailed at you it meant someone close was gonna die and a few days after that she got a call that her sister had just died all of a sudden.

      The Irish banshee is a legend from Ireland but moved to Scotland. Its a hag of a woman with a black coat and long red hair that shapes her face also looking like seaweed. She torments young women while they are home alone. A banshee wails for death if you hear a woman wail while in your home it means someone close to you will die soon. No one knows where they come from.

Save the Hobbits

HOBBITS ARE IN DANGER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have noticed. You probably haven't seen any here lately.  People have been hunting them so they are almost extinct. Here at the Hobbit Place  we try to protect these hobbits. we give them places to sleep and a place for safety , also for food. The only thing is that we need donations. No, Hobbits don't have big feet. ... The idea that Hobbits have big feet seems to have begun with the Brothers Hildebrant, who did numerous popular illustrations in the 1960s and 1970s. They also showed Dwarves with very large feet. When I was younger i used to question why they were so big. I always just assumed that it helped with balance. But it actually a myth but their feet are weirdly hairy. All of them are small from head to toe......does that mean their pinky toe in even pinkier then the original pinky toe. They have semi-Larger hands then a elf. So if they play the game tennis ( the slapping game) which would win the bigger one has more power , but the other is slimmer and might sting more. So you never know. Also why don't they have better posture the don't have to duck as much???????

IN THE MIND

My freshmen year was well um intreating. I actually didn't do that much till now. I moved from Los Lunas to here in ABQ. If we are being honest I liked it a lot better at Los Lunas I felt more accepted then here. Everyone here is so worried about there appearance they don't care about other. People give dirty looks for no reason or they argue about stupid stuff instead of trying to talk to each other they just fight. Everyone was nicer before. And if we are being honest my home life didn't help i had people around its just i felt alone and i put up a um wall to deal with people. The only place i felt myself was at school. Then i got taken out because " They were about to expel me " but thats simply untrue i never actually got in trouble except when i ditched class once. The thing was my mom was always telling the school everything instead of taking care of it in the house she would tell people. With my mom i never felt i could be myself i always had to act ok or else i would be told i was faking it or that i was just wanting attention but what no one ever realized is that i just needed some one to talk to a friend i trusted. My freshman year was made more chaotic then it had to be. Sure i didn't make it any easier with doing the mary j juana but it was my way to feel better i felt more like myself when i did it but everyone just thought that i was doing it for other reasons they just didn't understand and even now they still don't. So my freshman year was lonely at first but it got better like everything does.

The Wrong of the System

This family of 6 children and 2 adults died. The children could still be alive if police or the foster system did there job. People saw a bruise and believed that they had just fell. They saw the bruises on the backside and I'm ok with disciplining your child .... whats un acceptable is leaving marks. I do not care who you are or where you come from you DO NOT hit your kids out of anger. Its wrong and unjustifiable. The Hart family consisted of 6 children and 2 grown adults. There was reports to officials in at least 5 states they lived in of abuse. What do you think the system did ....nothing.  There are so many things wrong with the system granted there are good parts but when it comes to child safety its not all that good. I personally have not met a child or person in the system that didn't have some kind of abuse story. 

 Now this family drove from Minnesota all the way to California and drove off a cliff. They ruled the adults as suicide and the kids homicide. It all could have been avoided if someone had just taken action. By law a social worker has to check up on the kids and walk through the house to make sure its safe. No one did that. Fear of The Unknown

Mishal and Juniper were sitting on the couch when they began talking and gossiping about everything. They then start talking about there fears and Mishal says she's afraid of the unknown. Then Juniper says that she's afraid of failing. They both asked why each other had such simple fears and they had a long discussion about Mishal in particular why she has it. she then explained how she was adopted and her family had died in a car crash and she's the only one who survived. She's always wondered whats it like in the beyond. She's a very smart girl so she doesn't like when she doesn't know something. It scares her at when she cant answer a question she stuffs her noes in a book and reads about it if she doesn't know but there are so many books that say different about what'll happen. She doesn't want to be alone in a dark abyss. 

Being afraid of the unknown is called Xenophobia. Xeno means stranger and phobia means fear.

Z nation

I chose the 1st episode of z nation. I have watched this series like 4 times its a great show. The director is Jodi Binstock. Theres a group of main actors. But the most important is Kellita smith playing warren. Its a syfy. They are around 20-30 minutes long. I love the attention grabbing.

 

STUDENT LAW CLASS

LAW CLASS 

As students people tend to believe we don't have any laws or rights. But guess what you do you have rights like if you religious you can talk about religion with other students and teachers. Where they try to get you is that your teacher can not bring it up. 

Also any body is welcome to join from freshmen to senior.  You just gotta pay 5$ for a class fee at the beginning of the semester. Somebody with a law degree will come in and teach. We will learn all kinds of laws and student rights thats we have at school.  We will also form a student court with people who actually know theses rights. 

In class attendance will count as a grade and you will have one presentation a year. You will learn things and you never know you might just want to be a lawyer. This is a good foundation for anyone wishing to be a lawyer.

I was walking in the hallow halls in high school. One of my friends walks up like normal his name is john  so he walks up and we do a little greeting and he goes. " GUESS WHAT !!" Then i go " what dude?" He then says "I have hodgkin lymphoma." "Whats that?" i said. He then explains what it is . Its a desiese that makes your lymph nods swell up. Its cancerous. John has fear in his eyes. As he tries to figure out whats going on with him. he eventually calms down. he then gets a hug from liz.

Sign class

There is a certain thing i would like to talk about and thats the fact tat this school does not have a sign class. I nearly have a deaf student in all my classes and I find it unfair that they cant speak to the  rest if us. Its simply unfair. So I propose that we make a class and everyone should learn basic ASL. It would help us widen our student variety. It would also make the hearing impaired feel more safe and accepted. I know this means that we need another teacher. It also means you'll have to pay them. But It will help those who just want to learn and have friends , it'll widen their friend circle. You might also get Them to join more sports

In this book I love the realism it really grabs your attention from page the first page. It doesn't sugar coat anything that happened. Honestly I can say there nothing I don't dislike beside the fact that the man that wrote it had to live through it. Once you start reading you don't want to stop. It just keeps pulling you in. Id recommend this book to Any one who likes to read. If I ever meet this writer i would shake his hand and tell him how much i liked his book. As the boy said " I gotta go " I hope y'all find time to read this book it'll really make you feel grateful.

How to Meditate for Better Sleep

Often people have a hard time going to bed so heres something that'll help you. It often relaxes you when you take a shower and your bed is clean. Lay in your bed and starting at your toes tense then relax them and work your way all the way to your head. After you do this lay completely still and take deep slow breaths in and let them out slow also. It often helps if you think of something peaceful. Such as a beach or a forest. This will help you relax and seem lighter. You will be able to sleep much better!! GOOD LUCK !!

Nostalgia

1. When i was little we used to go to the beach every weekend and we would boogie board and surf. I remember my first time doing it I fell off and washed up on shore and started to laugh.

  

2. We had a pool in our back yard in California and  I remember getting up to swim everyday before school and getting home and swimming then too.

3. Whenever i was in karate as a 5 year old i remember playing this game were you jump over bow staffs . I fell once but thats ok. 

4. My grandma used to sit outside with me on the porch and shed tell me about her child hood when she was little. We'd sit there for hours.

5. My sister and I would play video games every time I would go to her house. She taught me how too play.

Angel of Earth

It was a dark night you could see all the stars in the sky. Cody was sitting in a rocking chair on his front porch. Cody is a 6 ft male with green eyes and brunette hair. When  he saw a shooting star ,but it was heading straight towards him. He started to panic thinking his house was about to be ruined when it was about 50 yards away it stopped. Cody was confused raking his brain trying to think of a reason why this ball of blinding light was just hovering 15 ft in he air. Then it just dropped,  Cody being curious started towards it and went to touch it when it moved and stood up. He fell on the ground behind him worming away from this mysterious creature. It stood up and large white wings appeared and said " I am Farfox Angel of the stars above I have come to Earth to protect it" Cody not being as scared rose to his feet and worked up the courage to say " I..I..Im Cody. if you don't mind me asking what are you protecting the earth from?". He was still filled with fear when the angel walked up to shake his hand. Farfox then said "We need to speak inside over a meal i haven't had one in ages." After they finish there food they moved to the living room. The began to discuss and Farfox later reviled that there was a reckoning coming but  a huge astroid heading straight for Earth. He asked Cody to help him find a way to stop it or how to save the people of Earth.

                                                       

Choice one 

 Cody then takes a deep breath and says "yes ill help." By saying yes he is giving everything he knows up. Him and Farfox worked for months trying to figure a way out and discovered that they were going to use a laser beam to shoot the astroid before it hit earth and blow it into pieces. They somehow convinced al of the world military  to shoot at the same time aiming and firing blowing it to pieces and saving the world.

Choice two

 Cody looks at him and calls him a mad man and tells him to leave. Cody spent all night trying to forget about it but couldn't early that morning he woke up and went running out the front door to find Farfox but he was already standing outside waiting. Then search for months looking for a solution and they couldn't find one so the let the astroid crash down , instead of staying there they evacuated everyone to the other side of the world so they wouldn't get hurt from the impact.

The Hypatia scholarship is for foreign exchange students coming to america for school. This scholarship will be given to two people both of whom getting 5,000$. This scholarship is for people who are interested in academics. You are more likely to get it if you plan on studying astronomy or astrophysics. This scholarship is for the students in other countries to be able to come and study no matter there financial potion. 

Requirements

•  Maintain at least a 3.0 gpa at all times. 
• Be respectful and well mannered. 
• You need at least 10 hours of community service.

History is Key to Freedom

Nathan Huggins was born in Chicago in 1927. This man was a black writer he put out a word to hit the hearts of american people. He was a jewish immigrant of polish decent . He moved in with his sister when he was 12 because his father abandoned them. He was in special corps and because of this he had better insight into racism. He earned his high school diploma in the army. For the  time he was still teated horribly he soon realized that even he was a high ranking military man he still got treated badly. He was at a german prison camp as a guard and even with his high rank he still got treated worse them the prisoners. For instance they were aloud to read the Times ...... he was not aloud. Overall he came through it all and became a amazing writer. Because of his history he turned out a great writer he could write and have a great prospective. But sadly he died in 1989.  Without the history he had behind him he wouldn't have had such a strong voice. He motivated those who were put down.  He gave a voice to those to timid to say anything. He inspires me to speak for those who cant and help those who need help.

To Much Socialism During Classes

Dear to much socialism,
   

       I socialize a lot in class but Im just a social person. I cant help it but one thing I noticed is that I did it a lot. So much that I wasn't finishing my work. I noticed that if I didn't talk to anyone when I went into class and i finished my work first I got done much faster then anyone else. So if your having troubles with being really social simply tell your friends you don't wanna talk till all your work is done. It helps if you ignore people I know it may seem rude but if you've already told them that you need to focus ,they should be respectful and do what you ask. If you find talking to be to tempting and your serious about getting your work done then ask your teacher to let you sit someplace else if you think it'll help you. Another good thing is if you have a friend that'll let you know when your talking to much. Turn to someone in that class and ask them if they see you talking to mush to let you know to keep to your work. Trust me this'll make life so much better.

Feminism

First of all lets get something clear. I am not one of those feminists that is a femanazi just to be clear. I just simply believe in equality for all people wether it is race, social standing, or gender. It isn't right women get payed less. That doesn't mean Im saying I think we should get payed more it means that we work just as hard as men sometimes men work harder sometimes women do it all depends on the person in question. You cant categorize a group by one person. If thats how the world worked then we'd all be murders and criminals. Granted there are some groups of women who think that they are better then men but in all honesty it don't matter if you are a man or a women equal is equal no matter what.

See the meaning of feminism doesn't say we are better then men. It simply says we should be equal to them in anything from political, Social, and economic points. You cant say we all are the same Because we aren't. There aren't two people in this world who are exactly the same in how they think. Neither in appearances or personality. Theres people who say feminists just are witches with a B instead of w. For the fact that they don't take stuff from people. Being a feminist it don't matter about race, gender identification, Pro-choice it just means you want equality 

Nike/ Under armor

         

Under Armor is my preferred brand it is similar to Nike but Under Armor has a wider appeal. They also are a lot more economically driven. Nike had a strike in China at one of the factories Because they under payed their workers exponentially. Plus on top of that they have child labor allegations for kids in Pakistan and  Cambodia. And on top of that many workers were exposed to chemicals due to a bad working environment, many people had allergic reactions and asthmatic problems due to this. So in due to these facts Under Armor is better. Yes at some point somebody who sponsored Under Armor went trophy hunting and killed a bear, later on this women and Under Armor split and under armor ended there contract soon after finding this out There were allegations about there clothing being flammable even tho it wasn't they changed there product just to be extra sure. So in conclusion Under Armor is a better product from there design to there ethical stand points 

Hiking The Grand Canyon

             

It was about a week from July 4 of 2010  and my family decided to go to the Grand Canyon. When we were leaving my parents said we weren't staying for long so I shouldn't ask to go for a hike. When we arrived we got out the car and walked up to the edge and started taking pictures. I had forgotten that she had already told me no for hiking so I asked if we could. She then said that  we could since it was such a beautiful day. We then walked up to a counter that a man and women were standing at. My mother told them how many of us there were which was 5 and that we wanted to go for a hike. I soon started to regret that i asked to do it because my feet started to ache within 3/4s of a mile and we still had 2 more miles to go till we were finished.  So I started slowing down and my sister ended up carrying me on her back for a little bit. as we were walking we came across a beautiful waterfall it was breath taking it smelt like flowers when we were close to it. There were beautiful plants surrounding it from trees to little flowers it was a sight to behold. We stayed there for a bit and kept going along the path there were ups and downs all through out the trail some high and some low. It hurt my feet walking for that long when I was so young but I had people there to push me along and carry me to let me rest for a bit. The hike was a great experience.  I really had a great time with my family. We had went so that we could have family time. I have amazing memories from it.

My Last State Move

My Last State Move

The last time I moved to another state was at the end of 2007. I had already moved back and forth four times before we decided just to stay in New Mexico. So I wasn't really nervous, since i had already made friends here. I remember my father coming to get me from California. I remember packing for three days before he came to get me and take me home. The last thing i packed was my clothes, I remember this because I wasn't aloud to take all of them with me. I was only aloud to take 10 outfits because we had limited space in the car.  I remember the day that he pulled into the drive-way. We lived on a dirt road so he pulled in zooming past the stop sign and it seemed like he was trying to drift into the driveway of which was also dirt and a pebble here and there. When he made the turn you could see a dust cloud come up and a few rocks fly. He came to a fast halt and jumped out of the car and grabbed my bags and put them in the car. I had to quickly tell everyone bye. I jumped into the car in the back seat it smelt like day old coffee, slim jims and my Grandmothers perfume. The seats were made of leather, I was wearing shorts so the seats stuck to my legs. About an hour into the car ride my Father started playing music  all the songs i used to love because I was sad I had to leave my sisters behind. The drive from California to New Mexico is 8 hours or more depending on where and to you come from and go. We sat in the car and made small talk for a while. I was only 5 at the time but I was mature for my age I loved reading so id read all the time  in the car I read a lot of books. it was extremely boring.

 By the time we got back to Belen , New Mexico My grandmother who was in the car with us was sick. So we dropped her off at her apartment with my cousin who took car of her while he lived with her. Then we drove back to my fathers house. We unloaded the car when we arrived. we then went inside and went to bed. The last time I moved to another state it was chaotic leaving my home the place I felt comfortable at. Sometimes I wish that I had never moved so that I could still be with my sisters. I know it was for the best though. It was the best but worst thing that has happened to me. Im thankful for it all though.
